東北のみんなで作った、世界で一つだけのアロハシャツ

日本の伝統衣装である「着物」は、ライフスタイルの変化から国内に約２億着が着られずに眠っていると言われています。

私たちは着られなくなった着物を選別し、宮城県のお母さん達の手で一着ずつ丁寧にほぐして洗い、裁断し、福島県、岩手県の縫製工場の皆さんの手でアロハシャツに仕立て直しています。

侍の不屈の精神と、復興に立ち向かう東北の姿を重ね合わせて「サムライアロハ」と名付けました。

"The only Aloha shirt in the world made by the people in Tohoku."

It is said that approximately 200 million kimonos in Japan are being stored without being worn, due to our current lifestyle changes.

With the help of mothers in Miyagi Prefecture, we sort out and separate these kimonos and take each one apart, carefully washing and cutting them one by one. After that, we take the fabrics from the kimonos and make them into Aloha shirts at sewing factories in Fukushima and Iwate.

We named these shirts "Samurai Aloha" after the unbreakable spirit of the samurai. This also represents the unbreakable spirit of Tohoku and its people, who overcame The Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.
